How Does Your Track Shape Up?

E-RAIL’s two-inch-round-diameter track provides for a minimum trolley wheel-to-surface contact area.  The resulting gravity performance is superior to I-beam-type track.  The round shape also allows for reliable gravity movement through switches where other types of track may hang up. 

E-RAIL is precision-formed from ASTM-type A513 low carbon steel with sections hardened to 60 Rockwell.  This results in a longer system life than track made from aluminum or stainless steel.  Aluminum can wear out very quickly and our own design research has shown that stainless steel can also “divot” in use, causing major gravity flow problems.  E-RAIL’s electro-plating resists corrosion in harsh environments while providing a durable finish that lasts for many years.

Designed for Flexibility

E-TECH’s engineers know that no two facilities are exactly alike.  That’s why E-RAIL was developed with features to ensure maximum flexibility.  Varying lengths of straight track and standard curves are supplemented by custom curves as tight as 18 inches in radius.  A standard hangar spacing of 5 feet 6 inches results in installations that are fully functional, yet unobtrusive.  Our track weight is only 2.5 pounds per foot, allowing for a system that is precisely configured to meet your needs.

Manufactured for Strength and Usability

E-RAIL track sections are connected internally using steel splices and rivets, making each installation as neat and efficient as it is strong and durable.  This type of non-welded connection makes E-RAIL much easier to reconfigure or expand as your needs change.  Adjustment couplers, located at many hanging points, provide for easy adjustment and fine-tuning of the system.
