Automatic Loading Clean Side

 

     

This is an opportunity to save impressive amounts of money. With an E-RAIL clean side system, labor requirements are sharply reduced because the work of manually handling slings and carts is gone (It certainly doesn’t hurt to have all that floor space freed up as well). Productivity of each finishing station is markedly increased. No longer will your operators have to search for the cart with the goods they need and transport it through a crowded shop floor. With E-RAIL, the goods are routed to each station automatically. 

With this system, goods are loaded into a dual trolley sling which is on the monorail at the end of the dryer takeaway conveyor. When loaded, the sling moves by gravity to the automatic lift and is routed to the proper storage rail. The classification code of the goods is passed from the dryer controls to our E-RAIL system controls, RAILPRO. The sling is now classified and stored until called for by an operator or the routing sequencer (in a more highly automated system).

When needed, the sling is routed to the correct finishing station. The contents of the sling are emptied into a bin, cart, or wind up fold table ready for processing.

This type of system can be installed with manual or automatic slings. If manual slings are used, the clean side finishing operators open the sling when they are ready for the goods and manually close it before the sling is released to empty storage. If automatic slings are used, the slings open by pushbutton control when they arrive at the finishing station and are automatically closed before they reach the sling loading station.

Empty slings are automatically split into two rails when in storage. This provides the maximum amount of sling storage per foot of return rail.
