Every laundry needs to
sort, but not every plant can physically accommodate hoppers. By
offering both automatic and manually assisted configurations,
Sort-On-Rail technology can be used in a wide variety of facilities,
even those with low sort area ceilings. Sorting linen directly into
slings allows maximum productivity with a minimum of handling. By
pairing slings from the start, the needs of facilities using tunnel
washers are met.
Sort-On-Rail technology can also be effectively used for
washer-extractors or conventional washrooms.
Using a sort window/deflector, goods are sorted directly into
slings. As the first sling in a pair is filled by count or by
weight, it backs out of the station and sent into storage or staged
on the An empty sling arrives at the station to be filled. When the
second sling is full, it is staged behind the first and the pair is
routed to a storage rail. With pairs intact, there needn’t be a
destination for each classification to create pairs. Clients with
limited staging space ahead of the tunnel will appreciate how this
will fit into their plans. (Triples or even quads can also be
created if required)
Once in classified storage, pairs of slings are called out and sent
to the tunnel washer. Slings are automatically opened and the goods
are delivered to the washer. The empty slings depart the washer
loading point and return to the sort area to begin the cycle again.
Empty slings are automatically closed prior to their arrival at the
sort station.
In order to get the most from your tunnel washers, the right goods
must be delivered at the right time, again and again. (In some
facilities as often as every twenty seconds!) E-RAIL can fit your
plant regardless of special needs and limitations. E-RAIL has the
proven ability to deliver what other systems can only promise.
