For efficient production, good timing is crucial.  An automated plant must be synchronized so events happen at exactly the right time.  Automated sling openers ensure that a washer load is delivered precisely when it is needed. 

Doing the Job - Over and Over

After a sling has been opened and discharged its goods, it must be closed and properly latched before it can go “back to work.”  E-RAIL auto-closers ensure that every sling will be closed and correctly latched, vastly reducing operator labor.  Like the opener, it also allows for maximum layout efficiency.  The best place to close the sling may be at a point which is not readily accessible to operators.

The Information Flows with the Goods

Part of the automatic opening is the passing of information—or the “handshake.” E-TECH’s RailPro controls both engage the opener and hand off the product information.  It is at the sling opener that this interaction takes place.  Information - such as customer and item number and weight - can be handed over to the microprocessors controlling equipment such as washers, dryers or finishing equipment.
